Officially: I am done with SoCalCycling...current drama behind-the-curtain

On St. Patrick's Day-2001, I suffered human loss-huge. From that point forward, I dedicated myself to a zero-tolerance policy towards any bullsh*t in my life, whether personal or professional. Life is too short to have fake friends, morons, dolts, and idiots draining time away from life's important things, which brings me to SoCalCycling's recent email/newsletter.
It's the January edition, so naturally (I thought) that there would be a blurb about our bike race, the Ride It Like You Stole It, since I'm a paying customer of SoCalCycling. Mostly, there was velodrome stuff, Brad House's cyclocross, and the Vegas Stage Race. So in classic "me being me" fashion, I blow a gasket and send her a WTF email. It failed to resolve, and the end result is that VNC Racing events will no longer be listed on SoCalCycling.
One of three things will happen in 2008: bike racer support will increase, stagnate, or decrease. In any event, there are two official race organization websites in So Cal: SCNCA & CBR (SoCalCycling is not a race organization, just an advertising website with race info).

Chris,
I love CBR but I think you're just being pissy here. socalcycling is willing to work with you. Thats where I go for my race sched. This "scenario" does not seem to be that difficult or heated. You are upset, end of story. I say get over it.

Can't we all just get along??

p.s. I have no affiliation with socalcycling

Dude, Chris, you really blew your gasket. I think you should look into getting it replaced. You gotta be kinder to your engine if you want it to last. I know you work hard to put on your races, but you really gotta sit down and take a couple deep breaths.

Chris,

I started a thread on SocalCycling in their road forum...although only three replies have been posted, most would agree that we want you on there...Our cycling community is too small to have rifts like this...Please suck it up and go back. Who give's a s..t about them, the cyclists are who matter. They like your races and want you to be over there. Anyway, just a suggestion.

I raced cross this season. All of the races but 1 i did were Prestige Series races. The only time there was any cyclocross news on socalcycling is when there was a back on track productions race. Why is this? Especially since there seemed to be more racers at the prestige series races. Now there is a feud between CBR and socalcycling. The end result is no more CBR on socalcycling. This sucks. It would be nice to get ALL southern California bike racing news and schedules on 1 site. What in the hell?

Regardless, I will continue to race CBR races as there is always a good vibe and watching Chris orchestrate the days races is worth the race entry fee in itself. All I ask is that you update your site and I will gladly toggle between Socalcycling and Californiabicycleracing.org. It will be a bit more work for my tiny brain, but I think I will survive.

This is from Chris (CBR):
Eliminating the stress (from having to look over Christy's shoulder) to make sure she did the right thing was the only option Christy gave me. It's not like she responded by saying she forgot about my race, or that she'd include my race in her next newsletter. This is why I prefaced the original blog entry about zero tolerance towards crap...life is too short. In this case, I reacted to her action. If it gets sorted out, fine, if not-it's okay, too. My biggest concern is the local racers who want to come to my races; besides, I hope that the racers know that CBR has its own website by now!
